Pupils that do not
perform well are normally classified as lack of practice. The parent will buy more
assessment books for their child to practise. This is a wrong approach towards
Mathematics Learning. Too many practices may kill the child's learning interest.
You must find out what is your child's weaknesses. Identify your child’s weakness and see how you can help to strengthen his conceptual understanding. You may try different
ways of explanation to a concept. If your child still cannot understand, go through some examples and explain allover again. Do practise on the right questions pertaining to the concept and remember to cover quality work and not quantity work. |
